Journal #2

The text I have chosen for my first essay is my facebook page. I think that because i have been writing my ideas and feelings on my page for a while now, I will get a wide range of text to sample from when trying to identify my persona. I have decided that by looking at my pictures, statuses, comments, etc. over time relates to how my actual identity has changed with it. I can compare my text to Paticia Hampl's "Memory and Imagination" because my facebook is basically a memoir. My page contains memories and thoughts i had in the past. The only difference is that my page is not written in the past tence, for everything i wrote was how i felt at the time, where a memoir is written after the fact. Im actually really excited to look at how my facebook relates to my persona and how it truely does represent the real Drew Lichtblau.
